To do this, simply take a tape measure and multiply the height by the width of your wall.
Then, add up your results for all the walls to be repainted and you’ll have the total area in square metres to pass on to your painter.
If your wall has a window or door, simply subtract the area of these features from your total square metres.
Is there an average hourly rate for painters?
It’s quite rare for a painter to charge by the hour, as pricing per square metre is much more precise.
